Frequently Asked Questions

For Survivors/Friends of Survivors

  • Survivors of domestic violence who are facing financial hardship and cannot afford private legal representation.

Each case is assessed individually to ensure that those who need our services most can access them.

If you’re unsure whether you qualify, feel free to reach out for a confidential consultation.

  • We primarily focus on legal cases related to domestic violence, including:

    • Family law cases (custody, divorce, and property settlement)

    • Protection orders and restraining orders

    • Financial abuse and coercive control cases

    • Legal advocacy in criminal cases involving domestic violence

Our goal is to ensure survivors receive the legal backing they need to secure their rights and protect their futures.

  • Yes. If you’re a concerned family member, friend, or advocate for someone in a domestic violence situation, you can reach out to us on their behalf. However, it’s important that the survivor is involved in the decision-making process when it comes to legal action, and we’ll work closely with them to ensure their needs are met.

  • The length of the legal process varies depending on the complexity of the case and the legal issues involved.

Our team works as efficiently as possible, but we also prioritise thorough and thoughtful legal representation.

We will keep you informed at every stage of the process and provide a realistic timeline during your consultation.
